While King Khan did Don, down here in Kollywood, Ajith did the Tamil version of the film. And, while the ongoing Hindi flick Don 2 is a sequel to the star’s previous Don, the ongoing Ajith-starrer Billa 2 is a prequel to his superhit Billa. The first installment of the franchise hit Kollywood in 2007 and gave Ajith a big break. His sleek and stylish portrayal of the dreaded don, Billa, earned him a lot of appreciation and is perhaps one of the reasons that he’s now doing a prequel to the same subject. While the 2007 flick was directed by Vishnuvardhan, Billa 2 is being helmed by Chakri Toleti.

On Billa 2 shooting spot, also he comes with his camera .On the break time of Billa 2 shooting in Goa, he shooted `Lord Shivan` Unfinished statue on his camera. Later Ajith described about that statue to their team. "It is designed by Foreigner. But unfortunately, Foreigner VISA gets over so he backs to his country. Because of that, it could be an Unfinished One."Like this, Ajith shooted more photos on his camera.

Meenakshi Dixit is a name everyone has become familiar with now. The girl, who sizzled with Mahesh Babu in Dookudu, has been roped in for an item song in Billa 2 . The pretty girl has given her best in this number, in which she shook a leg with Ajith. 

It seems the song was shot in July in the first schedule. In fact, the shoot for the movie is said to have started with this item number. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for this flick. In Billa, which came out in 2007, Ethavadhu Sei… was an item number that spiced up the flick. Here’s hoping that Meenakshi creates a sensation on screen as does Yuvan’s music.

Whenever a sequel of a hit flim is in the making the expectations always run high.Even though there are comparisons to the original, this trend of sequels is catching up in K'town. For starters Billa 2 is currently under production. Ajith's mega hit Billa has now led to the making of this sequel, it is expected that this movie will be more action-packed than the first.

Recently there were rumours in kollywood that Indian 2 by Shankar and featuring Ajith in the lead role would be made. Following that was the buzz that Rajini's Baasha was to be continuedin a sequel.Now after Billa 2 , Indian 2, Baasha 2,it is now the turn of Aayirathil Oruvan 2. When Billa 2 , Indian 2 , Baasha 2released director Selveraghavan said that he would come back with a sequel. word has it that Selva is almost done writing a script for this and he might commence work on this movie after wrapping up prior commitments.However,the star cast for this sequel hasn't been decided yet.

`Thala Ajith` has completed a hectic shooting schedule in Goa for Billa 2 and is back in the city recently. Apparently Thala Ajith is happy to be back home. The unit including Ajith , Paravathy Omanakuttan and director Chakri Toleti camped in Goa for almost 30 days for canning crucial segements for the Movie.According to sources the entire unit got along like one big family during the shoot.On the last day of their stay,Parvathy surprised them all by bringing a huge cake that was specially ordered.
Inside souces reveal that Ajith made the director cut the cake and distributed to all.The next schedule is planned in Georgia where some of the action sequence are planned.It is said that some exotic virgin locations,which are untouched,by any of the existing flim units have been short listed.
